Networks and Systems Security Lab


The Networks and Systems Security Lab (NSSL@VT), located in the Innovation Campus Building 1 (ICAB1) in Alexandria, Virginia, is part of the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech. The lab is co-directed by Professor Angelos Stavrou and Professor Haining Wang. Our research spans a wide range of areas within networking and systems security, including but not limited to secure systems design, wireless and mobile security, cloud and edge security, network measurement, intrusion detection, and protocol resilience. NSSL@VT combines foundational research with practical experimentation to address emerging security challenges in modern computing and communication environments.
